[Live Report] BLACK PERIOD II - Osaka, Tokyo, Roppongi
The SE (song that the members enter during) was a very unique choice during Black Period.
It was Johann Strauss' "The Blue Danube Waltz"

It was arranged, so there were various parts of the song spliced into a nice 2 minute SE sample.
The end crescendoed into a more "rock" SE track and the members entered the stage.
Also, as most people in the community already know, they covered Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" for the whole Black Tour.

There were some pitch problems in Osaka when I first heard it, but it was fantastic last night in Tokyo.
Shou's even adopted some of Steve Tyler's singing techniques for the song:
During the chorus - "... cause even when I dream of you" - Steve raises his pitch at the end of "you", and Shou did the same :) Little details like that made it really fun to watch...
Shou's English has improved a lot in the past few years.
When he sings his own compositions, he can sing with whatever accent he wants, but this is a proper cover so I think he tried particularity hard to get the accent as fluent as he could.
Of course, the Japanese influence on his English is still very apparent, but he's come a long way :)
The part at the end where there's passionate... screaming?
Yup... that was something XD;
Shou was pitchy, but very passionate @_@
The rest of the band did a great job, too.
But this performance was very much centered around Shou, I think.
In other news...
Tora is in much better shape. He enter and exited by himself, stood for every song, crossed to Hiroto's side a few times and even did some headbanging!
For the 3 lives I've seen this tour, he looked the most happy of all 5 members. A constant, genuine smile :)
I think he's just so happy to be able to continue the tour, and overwhelmed by the support the members and fans are giving him.
While I'm at it, here's a set list for last night's live. I think Osaka's Black and White have already been upped in a few places, so I'll just post Tokyo.
(The order might be slightly off...)

During Heart of Gold, Shou's microphone stopped working completely, so the audience sang for him.
He didn't seem annoyed at all that the mic was giving him problems; he just looked so happy we were singing unprompted for him.
It was fixed by the next song.
Shou came into the audience for G3 - there's always a very narrow walkway set up at Laforet Museum, and he can pass through the center of the fans easily. He was kind of mauled (not violently XD;) by people touching him, but he was smiling the whole time.
Also, there was a staff member with a hand held camera filming fans lining up and also the members during the live.
I think they'll put together a digest video like they did last year.
Next up is #4!
For anyone else attending, Hiroto upped today while he was answering fan questions there there will be limited goods for #4.
So far he's said there's a pamphlet, a bracelet and (vaguely) a #4 Ali-Kan.
So bring your money!! orz
