[2009-06] WINK UP

Starting this month a new interview topic: the students in their 10's share their easy to relate to worries with Wink Up, we choose 3 and have the band members give their ideas on the matter as their seniors in life.

I feel alienated

Since I was little I’ve always felt alienated. My parents gave me birth at a young age so there was a time when they didn’t put much effort into raising children and I felt that I wasn’t needed, my parents told me this world is a society of education and I came to think that “if you can’t study you’re not human”. I tried pretty hard up to high school and was attending a private school but sometimes I was falling behind and I always blamed myself. But since I became Alice Nine I was liberated from alienation. I think it’s very important to find something you’re passionate about. As you become an adult you wonder whether the reason why as a child you felt “why am I the only one…?” was that your outlook was too narrow. In a broad sense I think if you could take a look at yourself then the alienation would definitely disappear. When I think about it now I understand that though parents were so concentrated on this society of education they also suffered from it and didn’t want the children to go through it.

I want to lose weight but can't stick to a diet

When I was in elementary school I gained weight and I was a shy kid but in grade 5 I began playing basketball and thus have been introduced to team play so I became more forward-looking. I think if you try to lose weight forcibly you will feel pressured so instead maybe it would be better to find something you enjoy more than food. As you decide you like something it becomes your strength. You might find strength to lose weight by growing to like the young talents featured in Wink Up. If you make this decision you might also get a chance to understand what you want to do in the future (occupation). Also I think it’s important to look at yourself objectively.

I like the same person as my friend

Once when I was in elementary school I was forced to confess to the girl I liked in front of everyone. (laugh) But it went well. Yet even thought it went well after that I was severely harassed by the boy who also liked this girl. When I was in 6th grade this boy told me: “The two of us went to Disney Land.” I was so shocked and didn’t her if it was true. By the time of graduation we grew distant. At that time I just couldn’t believe it. I hated myself so much that until I became an adult I couldn’t date girls. I became timid. I f you like someone the most important thing is believing that person. I’ve never had such an experience but I think if happens that you may fall in love with the same person as your friend. I think that if it happened to me I would back away. Since for me friendship is the most important thing. I think if the person you love is happy then you should be happy too. It might be hard but I’m sure at some point you will come to understand it.
