Hiroto: We used INORAN-san’s signature jazzmaster for the chorus (of ‘Daybreak’)

Hiroto: This song (SHADOWPLAY) was recorded at home. I was sick so I couldn’t go to the studio. My fever was 39.5 so I took the fever medicine, and somehow managed to record in 4 hours while the medicines worked so to speak (lol). After that, we re-amped the sounds finished it up in the studio.

Tora: I recorded this song (SHADOWPLAY) at home too. Though it wasn’t because I was sick (lol). I wanted to try (so I recorded it at home).

Hiroto: when you hear my part (guitar solo in SHADOWPLAY), it might feel difficult but surprisingly it’s easy to play.

Tora: My solo, is harder than I thought (lol).

— For the beginners who can’t compose guitar solos, what should they do?

Tora: Decide on 1 guitarist that you like and I think it’s good to do a lot of copying of that person. Especially old guitarists are recommended.

Tora: The best thing when I started playing the guitar was that I played LUNA SEA’s 「IN SILENCE」.

Tora: For A9 songs, 「RAINBOWS」is good. In that song, I play the middle solo and Hiroto plays the ending. Both are not that hard so I think it’s easy to copy.

Hiroto: Even a simple melody, when you put in your feelings while playing, it’ll become a good solo.

Hiroto: The Alice Nine song that I would recommend is of course this 「SHADOWPLAY」.

Hiroto: For the beginners, I think playing 「SHADOWPLAY」will be fun yo.

Tora: (Shooting Star’s) chords were difficult so I really hated it (lol).

Tora: Speaking of the guitar, you don’t exactly need to force yourself and it’s nothing something like studying.

Tora: I want people to enjoy playing the guitar.

Tora: Or should I say that I’m the kind that dislike studying and ran to my hobby instead (lol).

Tora: Because there’s the feeling of ‘isn’t playing the guitar the most fun thing?’, I feel like I can play up till now.

Tora: Besides that, each person has their own pace so excluding the people who are aiming to be pro, it’s okay to improve at your own pace.
