[Live Report][2013.12.06] HEAVEN'S DOOR Tour @ Fukuoka DRUM LOGOS

Here’s my fanclub live report thingy. I don’t usually write this stuff so don’t expect to find anything of remote quality! XD Just me writing down random thoughts :D

This was actually my first live in Japan ever, so I was a bit nervous because I didn’t really know what to expect. My ticket number wasn’t that good so I was pretty far at the back, but luckily there was a ledge at the back that enabled the back rows to stand higher than the rest of the crowd so I actually had a pretty good view of the stage!

First of all, lives in Japan are totally different from those in Europe. People don’t touch each other, and that’s not just because I was at the back. Japanese just don’t like to touch strangers and therefore they stand at a small distance from one another, also giving you the opportunity to actually breathe instead of faint as many people do at concerts in Europe XD

On the other hand, it does have a bit of a restrained feeling, because you have to be careful not to bump into people when dancing, jumping and headbanging or else you’ll be thought of as rude. So. Japanese concert. No pushing, no fighting, no trying to get closer to the stage. Everyone has a number on their ticket, and that’s simply the place you’re gonna be in the entire concert. I seemed to be the only foreigner in the crowd, as far as I could see, so I got a few stares, but hey I’m pretty used to the staring after a few months in Japan XD

When the lights went down, I swear I almost had a heart attack from all the feels, but somehow I survived. The first song that played was actually Cradle To Alpha, which surprised me a lot! But I quickly remembered that this is their anniversary tour and that they’re bound to play a lot of old songs, especially at the fanclub lives. The lights at the start were gorgeous and rainbowy and so Alice Nine XD They came up one by one, but we couldn’t really see them because it was rather dark apart from the rainbow lights.

I believe the second song was Velvet, I’m not entirely sure because I was so overwhelmed by being able to see my favorite band again that I could hardly even remember the names of the songs XD;
The tension of the crowd was a bit low at this point, and I was a little disappointed with that, but I just tried to focus on getting all the furi right because dang there are a lot of them that I didn’t recognize from the live DVD’s.

But as the songs proceeded the crowd gradually got more excited and I also started to enjoy myself more. Some of the songs I remember them playing in this part of the live are Rainbows, Cosmic World (I WAS SO HAPPY), Tsubasa, White Prayer (that was the third song I think), Q. (OH. MY. F***. THEY PLAYED Q. SAGAAAAA SAGA SINGING LIVE OMG Q. I CAN’T-), Haikara Naru Rondo, and ROSARIO.

There was some Shou MC in between, he said some things about Fukuoka being the first city they ever played a one man live in, so it was a little nostalgic to them, and them thanking the fans for all their support. And then it was time for the more emotional and ballet-y songs. They played LEMON, and at some point Shou started singing a little too late, so they had to recover themselves for a bit, but it was kinda cute. It reminded me that they were actually playing live because they’re so flawless generally you tend to forget that they’re actually putting a lot of effort into what they’re doing. They also played an acoustic version of The Beautiful Name, which was gorgeous. The only thing I would’ve wanted is that they would’ve let the crowd sing the ‘earth of silence, confused universe, graced the beautiful day, I sing buzz love song’  for a little longer, because we only got to sing it once and thus didn’t get into it as much. But it was beautiful anyway. They also did Gin No Tsuki Kuroi hoshi, which the entire crowd was ecstatic about!

After that part there was another bit of MC, in which Shou cutely apologized for making a mistake when singing LEMON, and explaining that playing their old songs was hard for all of them, and that they’d practiced the most on those.

Then Shou started riling up the crowd to start up the more violent songs and they played G3, Dead school screaming, and Nine Heads Rodeo Show (and maybe more I don’t really remember, too much headbanging XDDD)

They left the stage pretty quickly after the last song, and the fans started cheering for the encore. It took about ten minutes for Tora and Nao to return, and they started advertising he tour goods XD It was funny, though there were some jokes I didn’t understand. My Japanese is not nearly perfect. Tora showed us the shoes he apparently bought for like 568 yen or something (about 5 dollars), which were hideous but adorable XD They were sparkly yellow with winnie the pooh on them (as in not a picture, but in 3D, like stuffed animal style), and Nao joked that Tora had two Nao’s on his feet. All the while, the other three were watching from the balcony, and though we could see them, Tora and Nao couldn’t see them from the stage. So asked where the others were and we tried to signal to them that they were right there, so the rest came down and they talked some more about random stuff. About games and something about not wearing underwear……….. I DON’T KNOW XD It was all Saga’s fault as usual. Pervert.

I think they played like, four more songs, I remember Shunkashuuto and Heisei Juushichinen Shichigatsu Nanoka, but my brain was pretty much dead at that point so I don’t remember much of it. When it ended the karaoke version of Fantasy started playing, creating a really nostalgic atmosphere, and they thanked the fans some more, throwing guitar picks, water bottles, drumsticks and Saga had the audacity to open a bottle of their tour goods curry flavored popcorn and throw the contents into the crowd, which my Japanese friends who were at the front later complained about because they now smelled like curry XDDDD *brb laughing my ass off*

As usual Hiroto was the last one off the stage, taking one last deep bow for us which lasted about…. thirty seconds, he is such an adorable little f****r.

It was really really fun, and I’m looking forward to today’s concert as well! :D
Also, I applaud those of you who took the time to read this piece of sh*t until the end. Thank you. You earn a medal. XDDD
