Something important

We’ve been working hard at this three-legged race of ours, and we’ve resolved to leave PS COMPANY after our 10th anniversary live at FujiQ Conifer Forest on August 23rd.

Rather than a termination of our contract, it was something we had all discussed over a long period of time, weighing all our options, and this came as a valid answer.

We’ve made it these ten years; and undeniably we had our struggles with the company’s president and staff. The choice to leave was not a simple one. We as a band wanted to get back to basics in the truest sense, to what Alice Nine really is.

There is no security as a band; we chose to walk this difficult road.

And with our ten year milestone coming up, that became the drive we needed to do this.

Whenever you want to start something new, there will always be pain and struggles associated with it. But because of those you want to do your best to try and overcome it.

However, with us not being able to make appearances for the time being, I had to say something now.
How long that ‘for the time being’ is going to be is something I can’t answer, but I can say it can be just for the not-too-far-off future.

We are not disbanding.

I just wanted to give a simple answer before we step out on our own.

As for our 10-year live on August 23rd, I feel we’re gonna go all out.

I know you’ll all be worried for various reasons, but please wait for Alice Nine. We’ll give a powerful performance to remember.

Nao BD & Alice In Museum 2014



It's been a long time since I blogged!

Today is our saiko (can be interpreted as 'oldest' or 'psycho'), refreshing drummer, Nao-san's birthday!!!

And then to let everyone get heated up for the us (who is celebrating our) 10th anniversary; there will be an amazing event!
Please do please do come over!

it’s been awhile
I don’t have my own (portable) WiFi so I depend on the hotel for internet access

I’m gradually getting use to China.
While in Beijing, we went to a music school to shoot for J-melo. There were a lot of rock fan.
we talked a lot with the students there about rock music and also Japanese music and, their sensitivity and motivation to like music aren’t different from me long time ago

there were a bunch of bands formed by students, and I even watched about 4 bands performing. A part of me felt like I am back to my highschool self, and I really enjoyed it.

towards the end, when I promptly jumped in and played some Rage Against the Machine riffs on guitar, as expected these 3 students joined me on stage, and we did a session together playing “Killing in the name”.
At that point inside me, the way I perceive the image of China changed.
"huh it’s the same, isn’t it"
as in, to play a session of Rage Against the Machine with this Japanese in this day at such unstable period. **
when questioned, “what is Rock?” “certainly it’s now”, a message as according to me.
Everyone had a smile.

this is me,
who is brought to tears when getting Japanese food as presents from fan, and gradually is getting used to Chinese cuisine.

we lost ~ it’s annoying!

From the start to end of today’s match, the Japan uniqueness** didn’t appear at all.
I was like, they are this sort of team?!

To be able to exert the same strength as when at home toward any enemy or in any circumstance is a difficult thing to do.
That’s what I feel during this tour too.
it’s like, “Huh this is weird, it shouldn’t be like this!!”

But once we discuss and try to fix it at the meeting, it can definitely get better.
I suppose Japan will bounce back up in the next round.
Like me (laugh)

scorching heat

The livehouse being hot as hell aside, today the people are really fired up too.
those were nice smiles.

Also I was shocked that the livehouse today was apparently unfinished.
that’s why the air-conditioning didn’t work.
it’s like a discipline training, this tour. (laugh) *

certainly it is the kind of feeling only lives abroad have

Metallica fans even sing out guitar solo parts together so, one day I want to create guitar solo or bass solo that can be sing in chorus too.

the guys at the livehouse we are playing in today are so chill.

this person whose back you can see is handsome like Colombian Falcao García.

however it’s so warm here.
seems like it’s 42℃ in Beijing.

Through the whole time I have been playing in a band till now I have always been the brave one who never have a fan placed near my feet but, if I don’t have one soon I’ll die.
I’m sure this me who doesn’t use an electric fan is being acknowledged more.

hong kong

During this Asia tour, I’m sharing hotel room with Nao-san.
At times he would start stirring. Suspicious.
If I am a girl this would definitely be dangerous.

Anyway, I had McDonalds at night. Since it’s the same everywhere.
I’m feelin really timid now, like a lost puppy in this city called Hong Kong.

Just now I wanted to eat spaghetti in my room but then the plate was knocked over and it depressed me. I was pretty depressed.
But I read the messages from everyone, and feel somewhat better.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong is 33℃

Summer is coming early.

And I am already having food problems.

I’ve finally started putting on weight, and I’ve been firming up a bit… But it seems like I’m going to lose weight again.

I just wanna try to maintain 65kg!

My goal is 71kg.

We’re leaving!

The time has come for us to set out on our journey.

It’s our first time going to China.

I still have these images of China in my head from Drunken Master 2, the scene with fight in the fish market… It’s only because I haven’t gone there before.

Our manager says we’re going to a pretty large city. I’m looking forward to it.

I went to my usual hairdresser yesterday, and while I was there, there was this young kid saying they were gonna go to Luna Sea’s 25th anniversary live tomorrow, and it made me happy.
