Osaka*
I'd better switch over from recording-mode to concert-mode.
To be honest while we where recording,
whether I came in bedheadded,
or with my eyes half closed, I utterly did not care, ne.
Even though yesterday we mixed three songs all in one day,
We really spent 70% of the time establishing what opening background music to use.
At the moment I'm listening to LUNA SEA'S "A WILL".
In the old days, as only an admirer (looking up to them) I listened,
and in the same lifetime, as a member of a band, I listen
My perspective is completely changed.
I've realized that sounding off in the same arena as those great role models is as simple as deciding to call them my rivals**.
To the greatest extent that I can, I'll carry this kind of an album, so that it becomes like an immaculate rebirth, of course, even if the next generation enters into silence.***
In the meantime we'll just have to kick each other's asses.****
I'll do my best.
Translator's notes: [[*I have a feeling this might be a mistake title, because the post has nothing to do with Osaka and there's another post later titled the exact same thing that seems more relevant.]]
[[**deciding that he considers them his competition.]]
[[***This is maji hazy, but if I had to make a guess, I think he's talking about something similar to what Tatsurou was talking about a while back, about not having any fear of the next generation showing them up, as in they aren't much competition, and there isn't any drive to be better all the time for the bands who are now sempais to those bands (look down at the nineteenth boldface question). I think he means that the next generation/younger newer bands will fall silent at this new album, maybe because it was so amazing it shocked them speechless or something to be honest idfk. If you can clear this up for me I'd appreciate it oh my god. My interpretation is based on the bit he says next.]]
[[****The "sempais" collectively, I think? It could also just be the Alice Nine boys he's saying will keep pushing each other to improve, etc.]]
