kyoto

been fully enjoying kyoto as we have off time since live. it’s good.
to have off time during a tour is a first, it has been refreshing.
the length of time we can stay no matter where is usually restricted so, i have been enduring it till kyoto.

my first time having aromatheraphy massage* was good too.
i was totally smeared with huge amount of oil. i must have looked like Yutani-san.

also i casually went to see the temples (laugh)
the minor kind that no one else is interested since I have been to the major places
unexpectedly it is also a battleground for ramen. Ten Ichi** flagship store is located there

there were many middle-schoolers on field trip.
girls and boys were all flirting as if that’s the critical time to do that.
ugh.

Oh yeah, going to kyoto also made me understand Yoshinaga Sayuri’s feeling

There are only 2 stops left for local tour huh
'how many is left' is honestly something that's alright to not think about

i just do my best at that one right in front of me

a few years ago, on THA BLUE HERB live,
the attitude and ideology I have received at the live left a deep impression that opened my eyes
in this world there’s no way a person can fight till that far with just a mic ***

by the way, have you all heard tender?

I managed to write a good ballad

it’s a song we did in collaboration with a Chinese band, Super VC.
The offer came to us.
we are of course grateful.

We are going to do concerts in China too, so it’ll be good to have more Chinese people know about Alice Nine.
from Super VC’s music, I felt a strong british vibe too
so I thought we should definitely do this.

I was told to freely write the song as how I want it,
so I really did it as such.
because it was just right after writing a lot of up tempo songs for Supernova, it’s about time the period when i write slow songs come (laugh)
but It was during the same period we were doing tour rehearsals, it was rather tough. I created it on my pc while riding the bullet train.

Concerning this song, other than the bass I also played the acoustic guitar part.
The chords I had was in a strange formation so only I can play it (laugh)

A song where Shou-kun sings both in mandarin and japanese is rather shocking however, I don’t feel that it is awkward at all now.

I requested Izuha Yoshiaki-san for the synthesizer arrangement.
other than the group “jyukai” he is also greatly influenced by “amazarashi” whose music I often listen to.
When we got back such wonderful arrangement from Izuha-san, I thought “this one will turn out good!!”

At this moment, there is no plan to release or perform the song in Japan at all though.
As it can only be heard in China, I’m really sorry.

you can listen to tender as usual here
well, usual for those who are outside Japan (laugh)****

T/N:
* random note: he has been talking at lives too about how he goes for massages quite often recently? and this kyoto one was hilarious as seems like it was the lady masseuse’s first time massaging a guy? and for some reason she…got flustered? throughout. and he said sth about his butt being massaged. and how the lady was so nervous it ended up hurting and he just wanted it to finish quickly…….. ←may not be accurate

** it’s the name of ramen shop that about 2-3 years ago? hiroto and him kept making jokes about. the shop has a lot of branches in japan

*** i hope i got this line correctly. he didn’t elaborate more but, the group he referred to is a hiphop group, and what he’s saying is that it takes more than just the artist to get so far to where they are/can be.

****he’s making fun of how people outside Japan normally stream theirs, and pretty much any music
